Manga others than from Kamimura
I have been reading a lot of comics - japanese comics. No, not science fiction manga. Manga describing typical stories from modern Japan but mainly describing a traditional Japan like ''La pleine du Kanto'' by Kazuo Kamimura (see a couple os posts below). I am starting to feel really passionate about these type of manga (=gekigas - like 'Lorsque nous vivions ensemble'). How very simple stories are so reach in emotion and in the most intricate human feelings. I don't know what captivated me first: if the beauty of the drawings or the simple pace of the story describing so much about humans and teaching me so much about the japanese culture. Here there is one of the last manga I read - Undercurrent, from Tetsuya Toyoda. It was difficult from me to trust any other artist besides Kamimura, but I have decided to give it a shot and I am discovering other artists that also fulfill me in this new manga experience.
P.S. Today I was very happy to know that a colleague of mine bought a book that I recommended her. She is polish but she knows spanish very well (way better than I do), and she likes to read. So I recommended her a book from Mario Vargas Llosa ''Travesuras de la niña mala'' (written in 2006), in english ''The Bad Girl''. I actually read it also in 2006, just before I came to Belgium. In fact it was recommended to me, in a bookshop in Porto, by a very kind young man.
